What is CBD?
CBD known by the full name of cannabidiol has become mainstream in the marketplace. Although it is gaining momentum in the health and wellness world, misinformation is still all around us. Kaneh Tree, LLC has become determined to educate people everywhere about cannabinoids.
To better understand, cannabidiol is a natural botanical concentrate, which is found in a class of diverse compounds called cannabinoids. These compounds are derived from both the stalk and seed of cannabis plants. Kaneh Tree, LLC’s CBD comes from industrial hemp, our products are sourced from European Farms that have been growing hemp for centuries on generationally owned farms. More than 100 cannabinoids have been identified so far in the hemp plant, and CBD being one of the most commonly known.
CBD is non-psychoactive, which means it has the potential to deliver various mental and physical benefits without any of the unwanted side effects we see from THC. With word of its efficacy spreading like wildfire, CBD has become a popular commodity in the natural health industry. This is partly because CBD, like other cannabinoids, interacts with the body’s naturally occurring endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for promoting balance and regulating functions like appetite, sleep, and immune response.
As CBD continues to move into the mainstream, policymakers are also beginning to take notice and create meaningful reform, as evident with the recent passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. This bill officially legalized the production of hemp.
With CBD quickly becoming a staple supplement for those seeking a more natural alternative to health and wellness, we encourage you to consider our diverse range of premium-grade CBD products.
CBD hemp oil is extracted from the cannabis varieties that are naturally abundant in CBD. Kaneh Tree, LLC , uses a specialized extraction process to yield highly concentrated CBD oil that also contains other nutritious material, such as omega-3 fatty acids, terpenes, vitamins, chlorophyll, amino acids, and other phytocannabinoids.
From Seed to Sale:
We use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for foods and supplements, ensuring consistently produced and quality controlled final products that you can be confident in using. By using Good Manufacturing Practices this allows our growers to maintain optimal cannabinoid content for our hemp oil supplements and check for any possible residual contaminants that could be harmful.
First, our hemp seeds are selected specifically from the stalk and seeds of each plant to provide the highest concentration of cannabinoids in each batch produced. Our farmers have been in the hemp agricultural space for many generations and have dedicated their lives to the production of high-quality hemp.
Although our famers are cultivating the hemp free of herbicides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers, we carefully inspect our oil after harvest for anything that can negatively impact the quality of our products. However, during the growing process, our hemp is tested by our cultivators periodically throughout the growing season and again after harvest and extraction.
Second, the oil is tested when it arrives in the US after being shipped from Europe to ensure it meets US Guidelines. This testing allows us to once again ensure consistent ratios of CBD and to verify the safety of our oil after its journey across the Atlantic. The testing of our hemp oil is done to look for the concentration of cannabinoids, including CBD, CBDa, CBG, THC, and over a half dozen others cannabinoids. Our products are also tested for mold, mildew, fungus, yeast, E.coli, Salmonella, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and residual solvents to protect the end user from any contamination.
What is CO2 Extraction and why is it the preferred method to create quality CBD products?
Carbon dioxide is a non-toxic, non-flammable gas used extensively in a variety of industries, including the food industry. It’s used for processing coffee, tea, Omega-3 oils, essential oils, and many of other products. CO2 is naturally occurring, and the FDA considers it safe to use in producing a variety of ingestible products. It’s used to carbonate beverages, it can be frozen solid to create dry ice and is all around us.
CO2 extraction is a process that requires skill and knowledge to perform correctly, and it is a more costly process than other extraction methods. However, it is the safest method of extraction there is, and produces the highest quality products. It is an environmentally safe element along with being recyclable. CO2 Extraction doesn’t contribute to carbon emission increases in the atmosphere, and this process doesn’t bring any flammable petroleum-based solvents (like butane) into contact with your product. It is the safest method of extraction.
What is The Endocannabinoid System?
The human body is comprised of several different systems, including the circulatory system, the digestive system, the respiratory system, and the skeletal system. These structures each fulfill their own specific physiological function and work collectively to keep your body up and running. However, there is another system that may not be on your radar and many have never heard of.
After several decades of research, scientists recently discovered a biochemical communication process called the “Endocannabinoid System,” or ECS for short while studying the effects that cannabis had on the body. This discovery has been hailed as one of the most exciting breakthroughs of all time in modern science.
Their findings confirmed that the ECS plays a crucial role in regulating homeostasis or balance within all mammals.
This balancing known as homeostasis, is the concept that most biological systems are actively maintained to control conditions within a narrow range. For example, our ideal body temperature is not too hot or too cold, our blood sugar levels are not too high or too low, etc... The conditions in our bodies need to be calibrated just right, in order for our cells to maintain optimum performance and to achieve daily balance and well being.
Backed by Science
Studies on the ECS have shown that not only does this system regulate balance within our bodies, but it also seems to have a very protective role within our bodies as well.
The ECS is essentially a network made up of endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors. The cannabinoid receptors reside on the surface of cells and react to various bodily processes. They communicate this information about our bodies condition to the interior of the cell, paving the way for the appropriate cellular response.
